BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Nyack College softball team split the series with Bloomfield College this afternoon, shutting out the Warriors 3-0 in game one followed by a triumphant victory in game two where the Warriors defeated the Bears 4-1.

How It Happened:
Game 1
In their first conference series of the season, the Warriors fell short the first game. They played solid defense only allowing three runs to come across the board.

Game 2
The second game of the day proved to be a much better outing for Nyack. The Warrior freshman squad made it their duty to score runs. Freshman second baseman Triozzi (Branchburg, NJ) was an offensive powerhouse for the Warriors finishing the game 3 for 4 with an RBI and scored a run herself.

Freshman catcher Morrison (Stanhope, NJ) went 2 for 4 with an RBI batting clean-up. Padilla (Las Cruces, NM), third base, kept the runners going in the sixth inning for an RBI line-drive single to right field. Senior, first base, Richards (Nanuet, NY) gained an RBI on a single to left field.

Junior Yano (Blauvelt, NY) ended the day with her first conference win at Nyack College. Pitching a complete game allowing only one run with 6 strike outs. Yano pitched her way out of a tough sixth inning with bases loaded only allowing one run.
