Softball Signs Johnson and Adams to 2018-19 Roster
La'Kryshna "Krissy" Johnson and Janelle Adams have joined the Warriors Softball family, beginning Fall of 2018. Krissy, an outfielder from the Fort Worth, Texas area, comes from NJCAA Region XIV power Navarro College in Texas (4 National Tournament bids, last 16 years). She enters Nyack College as a junior, following a strong season at Navarro where she hit .386 and had 21 stolen bases in 24 tries. She also scored 32 runs and had an on-base percentage of .445. Her father, Chris Johnson, played cornerback in the NFL for 10 seasons.

Adams, known as "Jelly" by her teammates, comes from Oxnard, California where she played for USA Phenom 18U.  She is a multi-position player who has played catcher, first base, third base, left field and right field. Considered one of the best hitters on her summer team, she also had a great high school senior season. Batting both 1st and 3rd in the lineup, Adams hit .410 with 7 doubles, 3 home runs and 26 RBI. She earned a spot in the Ventura County All-Star game. A family accomplishment as her brother and dad also played in the County All-Star game in football.

"Krissy and Jelly (Janelle) are big additions to our roster," said head coach Jeff Aumend, who enters his fourth season at Nyack College."Krissy has incredible speed and athleticism. She can put pressure on the opponent with her defense and her offense.  Janelle is a proven hitter, in a tough summer ball environment. And, she can play all over the diamond.  I also love both players' fit for Nyack. I really felt we turned the corner this past year and we will continue to win more and compete at a high level in the CACC with these types of players and people."
