Warriors Softball Falls to Wilmington on the Road

The Nyack College Warriors faced off against the Wilmington University Wildcats in an away conference double header. The Warriors lost both games; the score of the first game was 5-0 and the score of the second game was 12-4. 

Game 1: 

In the first game the Wildcats dominated the scoreboard, scoring their first run in third inning on a single hit. In the fourth inning the Wildcats homeruned to left field scoring 2 RBIs. The Wildcats scored their last run in the 5th inning on a walk. The Warriors never reached the scoreboard and the game ended 5-0.

Game 2: 

The Wildcats put themselves on the scoreboard in the first inning on a single up the middle. Nyack scored their first run of the game in the second inning when Stephanie White reached first on a fielding error by third base bringing home Alissa Brugnoli. The Wildcats scored 4 RBIs, 3 of which were on a double to left center. In the fourth inning the Janelle Adams singled to left field and advanced to second base on an error, advancing everyone else on base helping Arielys Rodriguez score. Nyack was the next to score in the 6th inning when Erin O'Brien doubled to right center bringing home Krissy Johnson. The Wildcats dominated the scoreboard for the bottom of the 6th innning scoring 7 runs ending the game 12-4.

The Warriors will face off against Felician University in an away conference double header on Thursday April 18th at 1 and 3PM.
