Nyack Softball Splits with Felician University

The Nyack College Warriors Softball team faced of in an away conference double header against the Felician University Falcons. The score of the first game was 6-1 Warriors and the score of the second game was 11-5 Falcons. 

Game 1: 

Nyack started off the game strong scoring 2 runs in the first inning, one run was scored off a double hit to left center by Janelle Adams and the second run was scored off a single hit to right center by Morgan Hans. Felician scored their only run for the game in the 5th inning on a homerun hit to center field. The Warriors scored 4 more runs in the 7th inning, one of which was a homerun hit by Erin O'Brien to center field.

Game 2: 

Felician started off the scoring for the second game on a double to left field bringing home 2 RBIs in the first inning. Nyack scored all 5 of their total runs in the third inning. Alyssa Giampolo doubled down the left field line bringing home 3 RBIs, putting them ahead of Felician. The Falcons then came back in the third inning and scored 3 RBIs on a homerun hit to left center tieing up the game at 5-5. The Falcons continued to dominate the scoreboard for the rest of the game, scoring 2 runs in the 5th inning and 4 runs in the 6th inning. 

Key Perfomances: 

In the first game, Morgan Hans went 2 for 2 in hits with one RBI. In the second game, Alissa Brugnoli went 2 for 3 in hits, with one run scored.  

Up Next: 

The Nyack College Warriors Softball will compete against St. Thomas Aquinas in a home non-conference game on Friday April 19.
