Manchester, NH - The women's basketball team was defeated by St. Anselm's by a score of 40-55 this afternoon in a non-conference match.
In a low scoring first half, Nyack would trail St. A's by 3 at 12-15 with 6 minutes remaining in the period. St. A's would close the half with a 9-2 run to finish the period up 24-14.
St. A's would pull away to a 15 point lead early in the 2nd half of play and keep the Warriors from coming within 10 points of the Greyhound lead.
Khamari Tellis and Ashleigh Jones would each tally double digit scoring numbers with Tellis and Courtney Peay pulling down a team best 5 rebounds. Brianna Taylor would dish out a team high 2 assists in the losing effort.
Nyack returns to action Wednesday when they open their conference schedule against Concordia College at 6 PM.
