Caldwell Tops Women's Basketball 55-77
CALDWELL, N.J. (Jan. 24, 2013) - The women's basketball team was defeated by Caldwell College yesterday by a score of 55-77 in what was a CACC match-up.
For the first period Nyack would shoot 10-30 and 30% from 3-point land while Caldwell had the advantage shooting 17-30 and 36%. The Cougars would head to the locker room up 25-46.
Caldwell would continue to hold the lead for the remainder of the contest to secure the win.
Courtney Peay, Senior center from San Antonio, TX would have her breakout game leading the Warriors with a season high of 13 points and 7 rebounds. Guards, Khamari Tellis (Chicago, IL) and Ashley Tallman (Rotterdam, NY) would each tally double digit scoring numbers with freshman Tori Trador (Seminol, FL) coming off the bench shooting 50% from the 3 point line. After being out for eight weeks due to a knee injury, Trador would come back to action putting up 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block respectively.
Nyack takes on Georgian Court (5-12, 5-7) this Saturday January 26, 2013 as they move forward with their conference schedule. The game will take place at 12pm eastern time in Lakewood, NJ.
