Khamari Tellis Receives CACC Honorable Mention

NEW HAVEN, CT (Tuesday, Feb 5, 2013) – Khamari Tellis, a senior from Chicago, IL has been Honorably Mentioned yesterday by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference weekly honors for the reporting period ending February 3, 2013. 

The 5-9 guard averaged 20 points for the Warriors on the week, including a 26-point performance against Wilmington this past Saturday. After struggling offensively last Tuesday in a 79-34 loss to Bloomfield, Tellis sparked Nyack's offense on Thursday, scoring 27 points in a 66-47 loss at Dominican. She also added three steals and three blocks in the setback. On Saturday the psychology major continued her hot hand on offense, scoring 26 points on 7-for-12 shooting to lead her team to a 78-72 triumph over Wilmington. She also added eight rebounds, three assists and six blocks in the victory.

Lady Warriors look to take on Caldwell College next at home on Wednesday February 6th at 6pm in Bowman Gymnasium, Nyack NY.
