Women's Basketball Fall 69-47 At Home To Queens College

NYACK, NY (November 23, 2013)

The Nyack College women's basketball team hosted Queens College on Saturday in a non-conference game. The Warriors were held to only 22 points in the first half and this would allow the Knights to cruise to a 69-47 victory over Nyack at Bowman Gymnasium.

Queens led the entire first half forcing many Nyack turnovers and shot 71% from the free throw line. By the locker room break two Knights would already tally double figures.

In the second half both teams scored 25 points a each. Nyack would be unable to chip away at the deficit en route to Queen College's win on the evening.

Junior Warrior Audrey Matteson (Monticello, IN) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Senior Ashley Tallman (Rotterdam, NY) recorded 7 rebounds respectively.

Coming off the bench junior Brianna Taylor (Columbia, MD) and senior Camille Nwosu (Centreville, VA)  would contribute with 8 and 7 points, 5 rebounds each, and both ladies shot 100% from the free throw line. Junior Meghan Richards (Nanuet, NY) led Nyack with assists and tied with Matteson for steals on the evening.

Nyack will play home again on Tuesday November 26th as they prepare to face Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rivals from Dominican College at 6pm.
