NYACK, NY –  The Nyack College women's basketball team defeated visiting Clippers from Concordia College 78-62 in front of fans at Bowman Gymnasium to sweep the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season series 2-0 against the Clippers.

Inside The Game
Warrior Audrey Matteson (Monticello, IN) snatched down a game-high and season-best 17 boards to go along with her game-high 27 points. Classmate Mariah Brown (Stockton, CA) recorded 13 points and 4 rebounds, Jessica Logemann (Seminole, FL) contributed with 8 buckets from off the bench, while Natalie Harrison (Washington, DC) and Tori Trador (Seminole, FL) tallied 7 points apiece. Trador's slick hands on defense allowed for a game-high 4 steals for the Nyack team while Matteson dished a game-high 4 assists on the night. In addition, Warriors Camille Nwosu (Centreville, VA) and Brianna Taylor (Columbia, MD) chipped in each with 6 points respectively.

On the Clippers side Tara-Ann Rock carried her team leading with 17 points. Classmate Selbe Lo recorded a team-high 8 rebounds while Megan Burns and Rock split 3 assists each.

A Closer Look

  • Nyack won the rebounding battle 42-34 while Concordia made six more second chance points than the Warriors (13-7)
  • For the game, Nyack shot 41.3 percent (19-of-46) from the floor while the visitors shot 37.1 percent (23-of-62).
  • Both teams forced 17 turnovers while Nyack scored more points from Clipper turnovers (23-9).
  • Tonight's game featured two game ties and two lead changes.
