Women's Basketball Suffers Tough Road Loss to DC Chargers, 95-66

ORANGEBURG, NY - The Nyack College women's basketball team visited Dominican College (N.Y.) for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Wednesday evening. The DC Chargers utilized a seventeen point cushion at halftime (41-24) to defeat Nyack at the Hennessy Center, 95-66.

Warrior Shabreka Edwards  (Ashburn, GA) and Jamie McKeither (Laurel, MD) combined for 30 points and 13 rebounds on the night while teammate Alyssa Gatti (Brooklyn, NY) dished a team-high four assists. Raven Makins  (Laurel, MD) would also recorded 11 points, three rebounds, and three steals in the losing effort for Nyack.

Four Chargers recorded double figures as sophomore forward, Lisa Bouffard, led with a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds.

As team, the Warriors shot 83.3 percent from the free throw line in the second half (15-of-18) while Dominican won the rebounding battle by a margin of 43-37.

Nyack basketball will continue their CACC play Saturday, December 6th as the Warriors travel to take on South Division opponents from the University of the Sciences.

Tip-off is slated for 1:00 PM at the Devils' Athletic Recreation Center (ARC) in Philadelphia, PA.
