NYACK, NY - Nyack College women's basketball served as host to Caldwell University for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup on Wednesday evening. The Warriors were unable to come away with the win at Bowman Gymnasium as the Cougars secured the 83-54 victory.

The first eight minutes of the first half featured both teams keeping within four points of each other before Caldwell used a 12-2 run capped by a jumper from Emily Caswell to lead 25-13 by 9:58.

Another series of runs allowed the Cougars to extend the lead 48-29 by halftime. Neither team shot the ball well, with Caldwell shooting 35.3 percent, including 2-of-9 from three-point range, and Nyack shooting 36.1 percent from the field and 1-of-9 from long range.

During the second half, Nyack was unable to trim the deficit with Caldwell's largest lead reaching 65-33 by 13:33 which would eventually lead to the 83-54 setback at home for the Warriors.

Raven Makins (Laurel, MD) led all scorers for Nyack with 17 points while Jamie McKeither (Laurel, MD) registered 13 points and both ladies combined for 14 rebounds. 

Three Cougars recorded double-figures with Antoinette Pilla tallying a game high 20 points on shooting 7-of-11 from the field, 3-of-7 from behind the arc, and converted 3-for-4 from the free throw line. Teammate Caswell paced Caldwell with a double-double; yanking an impressive game-high 18 rebounds while scoring 15 points.
