The Nyack College Women's Basketball team served as host to current #2 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) South Division Holy Family University. Although a strong third quarter saw Nyack trimming a 23 point deficit to a 9 point trail, by the end of regulation, the Warriors were unable to come out on top and fell by a final score of 81-56.

With the loss, Nyack drops to 5-9 overall and 3-4 in the conference while Holy Family improves to 11-5 and 6-1.

How It Happened:
During the last five minutes of the first quarter both teams would be tied 8-8 before Holy Family scored 14 back-to-back points to get ahead 22-8 with 2:03 left to go. By the end of the quarter, the score reflected 24-11 in favor of the Tigers. The second quarter would be more of the same as Nyack struggled offensively and the Warriors entered the halftime break trailing by 19 points (42-23).

In the third quarter, Nyack would outscore Holy Family 21-18 and got as close at a 9-point trail when senior Tori Trador (Seminole, FL) fired in a three-pointer at 7:25 and brought the game to 42-33. This would be as close as the Warriors attained with their comeback as the Tigers utilized a series of runs to maintain their lead and pull away to close out the quarter (60-44). A strong fourth quarter saw Holy Family outscoring Nyack 21-12 and by the end of regulation, Holy Family cruised their way to an 81-56 victory.

Jamie McKeither (Laurel, MD) led in scoring with 11 points while teammate Raven Makins (Laurel, MD) notched a double-double with 10 points and a season high 16 rebounds. Trador chipped in with 8 buckets of her own in the losing effort.

For HFU, four Tigers notched double figures with Kylie Giedemann leading her team with 19 points. Jill Conroy and Abigail Iannotti combined for 22 points. Iannotti would also register a team-high 11 rebounds and Kasey Woetzel added on 16 points in the win.
