Lady Warriors drop road match to Caldwell

CALDWELL, N.J.- The Nyack College women's basketball team lost their roadmatch to the Caldwell University Cougars 47-88 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action on Tuesday night.

With the loss the Warriors drop to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in CACC action, while Caldwell improves to 4-1 and 2-0 in conference play. 

The Cougars scored a 3-point jump shot on their opening possession as they never trailed in the contest, building a 15-6 lead in the first quarter. Caldwell pushed their lead into double digits in the second quarter to earn a 37-19 lead at the break. Caldwell pulled away in the third and fourth quarter as they outscored Nyack 30-14 and 21-14 to stretch their lead to 41 points after four quarters.

The Warrior were led by graduate student Tayelor McCalister with 11 points, while Janae Bailey represented Nyack on the board, posting six rebounds.  

The Warriors are off for the Thanksgiving break as they return to the court on Wednesday, November 30, when they travel to Concordia College for a conference clash at 5 pm.
