Warriors Come Up Short in Last Road Game of the Season
The Nyack College women's basketball team traveled to take on Caldwell University on Tuesday night, as the Warriors fell to the top-ranked Cougars in a 50-75 loss.

In the first quarter, Nyack jumped out to an early lead kickstarted by Japria Karin-Duvall's initial layup and following 3-pointer that put the Warriors on the board. Bryanna Brown and Janae Bailey each added a layup to put Nyack up by 6, but Caldwell's offense sparked their own scoring run and fought to overtake the lead.

The Warriors continued to keep it close through the second quarter, as Nyack fought for offensive rebounds under the basket to give their scorers second chances on offense. A jump shot by Imani Dawson brought them back within 2 points of the Cougars. With 3 minutes left in the half, Caldwell again went on an offensive scoring run to put Nyack down by 16 as they headed into halftime.

Starting the second half, Nyack battled back to score more points in the third quarter than they had in the first half. Alison Rozzi and Bryanna Brown scored on back-to-back 3-point shots to spark an offensive run by the Warriors, and Nyack continued to score on second-chance plays after fighting for rebounds. Starting the fourth quarter, Jocelin Wright scored on consecutive layups as Nyack continued to push back against Caldwell. The Warriors were not able to overcome the deficit, and ended the game in a loss.

Janae Bailey led the Warriors offense with 12 points and also added 9 rebounds. Japria Karin-Duvall contributed 3 assists, and Bryanna Brown had a block on the defensive end.
