Women's Basketball Falls to Franklin Pierce in Road Match Up

Ringe, NH - The Nyack College women's basketball team continued its 2018-19 season with a road trip to New Hampshire to take on the Franklin Pierce University Ravens on Friday night. The Ravens came out on top in a game that ended with a final score of 65-77. With the loss the Warriors drop to 0-3 in the season.

Game Summary:

  • both teams had early scoring struggles, which saw that game still at 0-0 two minutes into the game, before the Ravens would take over and finish the fist quarter with a 17-11 score
  • Nyack came back in the second period and tied the game up to go into the halftime with the score tied at 32
  • the slowly shifted towards the Ravens who held a five-point lead at the end of the third
  • Nyack cam back within two with the start of the fourth, before Franklin Pierce pulled away to earn a 65-77 victory

Key Performances:
Freshman Sarah Wilson led the Warriors with 16 points and was closeley followed by senior Japria Karim-Duvall with 14 points.

Nyack will have continue their road game series in New Hampshire with a match against Souther New Hamsphire University on Saturday afternoon. Tip off is scheduled for 1:30pm.
