Hooksett, NH - The Nyack College women's basketball team continued its road game series in New Hampshire with a match against the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen on Saturday afternoon. 

The Basics:

Game Summary:

  • the Penmen enjoyed the better start into the game with a 9-0 run in the first five minutes, which set them up for a 20-13 quarter
  • the Warriors used a 7-0 run of their own to start the second quarter to tie the game at 20, but the Penmen went on to extend their lead back up to 11 before the end of the first half, 31-42
  • Nyack tried to fight their way back in the game with the start of the second but was held off by the Penmen who defended a 13-point lead throughout the third quarter
  • Southern New Hampshire continued to keep the Warriors at a distance and finished the game with a final score of 72-89

Key Performances:
Freshman Elle Nittinger led the Warriors with a game-high 21 points shotting 5 for 9 from thr field, while going 3-5 from three-point range.

Nyack will take a break and enjoy their Thanksgiving week before they come back on Monday, November 26th to host the Cheyney University Wolves for their 2018-19 homeopener. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30pm.
