Women's Basketball Edges Out Bloomfield College Bears, 66-62

Nyack, NY - The Nyack College women's basketball team hosted the Bloomfield College Bears in a CACC North Division match on Wednesday night in their "Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Game."

Game Summary:

  • Bloomfield got off to the better start with a 9-3 run, but the Warriors fought back and finished the first quarter with 14-11 advantage over the Bears
  • the Warriors extended their lead in the second quarter and took a comfortable 13-point advantage into halftime, 35-22
  • Bloomfield came back in the third and tied the game at 41 with four minutes to go in the third period, but the Warriors were able to fend off the Bears and take a three-point lead into the final quarter, 45-42 
  • Bloomfield tied the game up once again but was unable to take the lead, which left the Warriors in the drivers seat to edge out the Bears with a final score of 66-62

Key Performances:
Kyla Given continued her strong performance through the last few games with another big outing. Given totaled 24 points with 9-12 shooting and also pulled down ten rebounds to complete yet another double-double.
