Kelsy was born in Fairbanks, Alaska. Both her parents played basketball and she quickly grew to love the game. She learned hard work and resourcefulness growing up in rural Alaska. She moved to New York when she was eighteen to attend Nyack College to pursue her basketball career and broaden her horizons. Kelsy brings basketball experience from the State championship level in high school as well as he collegiate level where she played for Nyack, helping her team win the Conference championship in 2010. She has coached 17U AAU teams for two years where she led 11th grade girls to Nationals. Kelsy has been called a “player’s coach”. She relates to each player and treats them with respect. She is excited to help develop the skills relevant for creating a winning culture, a competitive spirit, work ethic and good sportsmanship. Kelsy currently has her own part time business called The Dessert Bar. Kelsy has been married to her husband, Sheanan, also a Nyack Alumni, for six years and together they have a one year old son, Sebastian. They reside in Stony Point, NY.
