Inside The Game:
The Nyack Warriors faced St. Anselm, a Northeast-10 conference team, this afternoon on the road. The Hawks opened the game with 6 goals within a span of five minutes; 3 of which were assisted. With the pace of the game set by the Hawks, Warrior captain Lebo returned with an unassisted goal placing Nyack on the board 1-6. At the midpoint of the first half, the Hawks scored another goal broadening the gap 1-7 just for Lebo to return with another unassisted goal 2-7. As the game progressed, St. Anselm placed 8 consecutive goals straight into the net leaving the score 15-2 at the end of the first half.

The Nyack Warriors fought through the second half, but came up short against the Hawks. Saint Anselm opened the second half with five goals within the first ten minutes of play. With twenty minutes left on the clock in running time, the Warriors continued to fight for another goal. At 10:10, Lebo would score her third unassisted goal of the game 3-20. In the remaining third of the second half, the Hawks put the ball away two more times 3-22. With a good effort on Nyack's part, the Warriors end the game off a free position shot by Lebo (4-22).

The game was a good learning experience for the Lady Warriors. Nyack Goalie, Jackie Simeon (Hartford, CT), saved 9 goals, one less than yesterday's conference game against Post. St. Anselm's Marissa Daly scored 7 goals and had 3 assists, while Lebo scored all 4 of Nyack's goals. Overall, Saint Anselm led in ground balls and draw controls by almost over half of Nyack's attempt, and controlled possession of the ball for the better portion the game.
