NEW HAVEN, CT - Women's lacrosse Lauren Lebo, a 5'6 midfielder from West Simsbury, CT has been Honorably Mentioned for the second consecutive week by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).
The announcement was made by the league office on Monday for the reporting period ending Sunday, March 16, 2014.
She was selected amongst other players from the 9 colleges/universities that make up the CACC women's lacrosse conference who took part in games during the previous week.
Lebo would net 8 goals during two games played last week; 4 against Post University, Nyack's closest game of the season, and 4 against Saint Anselm College. Lebo is a sophomore captain and continues to led the team on all parts of the field including winning 26 draw controls so far for the season.
Lebo is currently the No. 1 Individual Offensive Leader in the conference representing Nyack College with 16 goals to tie with Philadelphia University's Liz Mower, ranked under Lebo in goals. Mower was recently named CACC Player of the Week. In addition, Lebo is also ranked with the second most shots taken in the CACC (37) while Mower holds a high of 38.
Nyack Lacrosse is scheduled to take the field again as they prepare for travel this weekend to face Philadelphia University in a conference match-up on Saturday March 22nd where Mower and Lebo will get a shot going head-to-head for the first time.
