  • Nyack Athletics Captures CACC Institutional Women’s Sportsmanship Award for 9th Consecutive Year

    Nyack captured the CACC Women's Sportsmanship Award for the ninth-consecutive year dating back to when the honor was first handed out during the 2006-07 campaign. The head coaches of each conference-sponsored sport vote for the individual CACC team sportsmanship awards annually.

    Women's lacrosse midfielder Lauren Lebo (West Simsbury, CT) has been named the NCAA Division II statistical champion in women’s lacrosse for most draw controls per game in the final statistics for the 2015 season.
  • Abby Wilmot Signs NLI with Women's Lacrosse

    Wilmot has experience with being a part of a building lacrosse team. She began playing lacrosse in Western Maryland in 2006. Abby has been the Chambersburg girls lacrosse team captain since her sophomore season, which was the program's inaugural season.

  • Lebo & Walborn Honored with Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Recognition

    The CACC has released its 2015 All-CACC Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Team. Juniors Lauren Lebo (West Simsbury, CT) and Karly Walborn (Nyack, NY) were named to the All-CACC Second Team, as was announced by league Commissioner Dan Mara, after their impressive performances this regular season.
  • Warriors Celebrate Senior Day; Lacrosse Slips to Philadelphia 24-12

    The first half was a tightly contested half that saw neiter team leading by more than two goals as the game recorded seven ties. Freshman Victoria Silvers scored a goal off a free position shot to give Nyack a 9-8 lead with 1:44 left in regulation until Ram Elizabeth Seitzinger snuck in a quick assurance goal with 00:04 remaining. The halftime score would reflect 9-9 going into the locker room break.

    After a slow first half, Warrior Lacrosse would outscore the University of Bridgeport 6-2 in the second half but the late surge would not be enough as Nyack would get edged out on the road in a non-conference contest by a close final score of 10-8.

    The Nyack College women's lacrosse team traveled to face Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC opponents from Georgian Court University where the Warriors would fall to a 17-7 decision to the Tigers.

  • LAX-4-LIFE: Warriors Raising Awareness for Suicide Prevention

    The Warriors will wear special t-shirts during their pre-game warm up vs. Chestnut Hill on March 31, 2015. The t-shirts are to help raise money for an organization called Lax-4-Life, "a national lacrosse campaign to provide and support programs geared toward adolescent and young adult suicide prevention awareness."
  • Warriors Battle in the Snow; Edged Out by Chestnut Hill 16-15

    The Nyack College women's lacrosse team served as host to Chestnut Hill College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match where both teams fought hard in snow/rain mix. By the end of regulation the Griffins would top the Warriors by a final score of 16-15.
  • Lacrosse Notches First CACC Season Victory in Opener to Post, 13-12

    Karly and Karis Walborn would combine for 10 goals on the afternoon as the Warriors held strong to survive a late threat and defeat Post University 13-12. With the win Nyack jumps out to a 1-0 standing in CACC play (3-3 overall) while the Eagles drop to 0-1 in league play (0-6 overall).
  • Lacrosse Joins Hands with Living Water Church in Service Project

    The church had recently acquired a building in the town of Philippi that had been dormant for many years. The building needs a lot of work done and through a few connections, the team was able to volunteer in a joined effort for a successful work day at the new building.

    In a 2-1 week, freshman Silvers has netted 11 goals which includes her shooting at 100.0 in the tough 10-9 loss to West Va. Wesleyan. Her re-defend has been strong coming up with 5 cause turnovers to go along with 6 ground balls in the past three games last week.

    The Nyack College women's lacrosse team rallied back from a 2-5 trail going into the halftime break and would outscore their opponents from West Virginia Wesleyan College 7-5 in the second half, only to be edged out 10-9 by the end of regulation.

    Midfielders Lauren Lebo and Karly Walborn each tallied 6 goals apiece as the Warriors scampered past Alderson-Broaddus University, 22-7, in an away contest played at the Battler Stadium in West Virginia
  • First Season Win as Team Effort Lifts Lacrosse Past Chowan, 23-14

    Captain Lauren Lebo netted a game-high 9 goals against Chowan University on Tuesday. The Warriors outshot the Hawks by a 42-31 margin, leading to a 23-14 victory for the women's lacrosse squad. Following their first win on the season, Nyack advances to 1-2 overall while Chowan ladrops to 0-4.

    The Nyack College women's lacrosse team traveled to the neutral site campus of Iona College where the Warriors took on opponents from Pace University. The Setters would come out on top in this non-conference match-up by a final score of 15-5.
  • Lebo Scores 100th Career Goal in First Game of Her Junior Year

    Nyack Warrior, Lauren Lebo (West Simsbury, CT), scored the 100th goal of her college lacrosse career this past Saturday against American International College (AIC), where the Warriors fell by just one point (17-16).

    Walborn is currently ranked at No. 1 in the NCAA Div. II national ranking for the most cause turnovers (8.00) and is tied at No. 3 in the nation for ground balls (7.00) this opening week.
