Warrior newcomer, Victoria Silvers, a freshman from Long Island, NY has been recognized for the first time in her collegiate career as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.
The announcement was released today by the league office for the reporting period ending Sunday, March 1, 2015
Freshman Silvers notched three goals while recording three assists to jump-start her the Warrior season opener against NE-10 opponents from American International College. Defensively, Silvers would also win one draw control and forced one cause turnover as Nyack was edged out on the road 17-16.
Silvers is currently featured in the CACC's Top-10 Individual Offense Leaders ranking at 4th in the conference for the category of goals scored per game, 3rd in the most assist dealt per game, 3rd in shots taken per game, and ranked 3rd with the most points on the season (six). The #1 and #2 spots are held by teammates Karis Walborn (Nyack, NY) with eight points and Lauren Lebo (West Simsbury, CT) with seven points.
