NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Nyack College women's lacrosse team traveled to the neutral site campus of Iona College where the Warriors took on opponents from Pace University. The Setters would come out on top in this non-conference match-up by a final score of 15-5.

How It Happened:
Offensively Victoria Lopez-Nash (Bayville, NJ) led Nyack with 2 goals on the day while on defense, Karly Walborn (Nyack, NY) led with a game-high 3 cause turnovers.

Warrior Lauren Lebo (West Simsbury, CT) won a game-high 8 draw controls in addition to 1 goal. Other scorers included Victoria Silvers (Long Island, NY) and Selena Vargas (Swan Lake, NY) who both notched 1 goal apiece in the losing effort.

For Pace, five Setter contributed to the scoring with Casey Gelderman leading all scorers with 5 goals, scooped a game-high 6 ground balls, along with winning a team-best 4 draw controls.

Pace led for the entire game and would go into the locker room break with a eight point cushion (9-1). In the second hald Nyack would get out scored by a margin of 6-4 and was unable to cut the deficit, en route to the 15-5 loss to the Setters.

Pace's victory marks the first ever game for the women's lacrosse squad as they advance to 1-0 overall in their inaugural opener while Nyack drops to 0-2 on the season.
