Lacrosse Upended by Dominican Chargers on the Road 18-8

NYACK, NY - The Nyack College women's lacrosse team traveled to take on the Chargers of Dominican College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest where the Warriors would get topped by a final score of 18-8.

How It Happened:
The Warriors netted the game's first goal just 44 seconds in, but DC rallied and went on a 5-0 run to go up, 5-1 with 21:39 to play before the break. Both teams netted to goals a-piece in the remaining 20 minutes of the half to give the Lady Chargers a 7-3 lead at the intermission. 

In the second half, Dominican would outscore Nyack 11-3 to pull away with the win to improve 3-2 in league play while the Warriors drop to 1-4 in conference action.

Leading Nyack in scoring was Karly Walborn, Karis Walborn, and Lauren lebo who each tallied 2 goals. Victoria Silvers and Alyssa Paddock chipped in with 1 goal apiece in the loosing effort.

Warrior goalkeeper Madeline Barbarino scooped a game-high 4 ground balls in addition to recording 16 saves respectively. 

Allisin Smithwick led the Chargers with a game-high 5 goals.
