Women's Lacrosse Fall to Jefferson Rams on the Road
The Nyack College lacrosse team traveled to take on the Jefferson Rams on Thursday in a CACC matchup, where the Warriors ended the game in a 23-5 loss to the Rams.
 
In the first half, Jefferson opened up the game with two quick scores in the first two minutes and then added three more before Melissa Clapsaddle stopped their scoring run with an unassisted goal at 7:16. Tori Silvers followed with another goal for Nyack on a free position shot at 8:39. Jefferson answered with two goals of their own. Tori Silvers scored again at 16:28, and after three more Rams goals, Silvers put another shot in the back of the net at 21:57. Jefferson scored twice more, but Melissa Clapsaddle ended the half with a Nyack goal with one second left on a free position shot. The Warriors went into halftime down 12-5.
 
In the second half, Jefferson again scored quickly to set the tone for the rest of the game. The Warriors defense caused 16 turnovers from the Rams in the game to prevent them from taking shots, but in the end, the Rams' offense caused the Warriors to finish the game in a loss.
 
Tori Silvers led the Warriors with 3 goals, and Jocelin Wright and Isabella Thomas each added an assist. Imani Dawson picked up 3 ground balls, and also had 15 saves as goalie for the Warriors.
