Warriors Lacrosse Undefeated in Conference With Win Against Post

The Nyack College Warriors Lacrosse team hosted Post University today in a conference LAX4LIFE game, bringing awareness to suicide prevention. The Warrior won the game 12-10. 

In the first half, Nyack had a slow start until 15:30 when Melissa Clapsaddle scored the first point for her team on a free position shot. At this point Post had already scored four of their points. Nyack slowly began to catch up when Julianna Kranes scored an unassisted goal at 10:15 and another at 6:54 followed by Melissa Clapsaddle (point scored at 10:05) and Jocelyn Wright (scored at 4:01, then 1:06). The Warriors ended the first half tieing up the game with Post at 6-6. 

In the second half of the game, Post came out strong and scored at 27:21. Isabella Thomas was the first to score for the Warriors at 21:11 assisted by Melissa Clapsaddle. The Warriors managed to score three more goals before Post was able to score on a free position shot. Melissa Clapsaddle was the last to score for the Warriors at 5:42 on a free position shot. Post scored one more goal at 57 seconds but was still shy of 2 points, ending the game at 12-10 Warriors.
