Warriors Lacrosse Defeated by Dominican Chargers

The Nyack College women's lacrosse team played in an away conference game against the Dominican College Chargers and lost 19-9. 

In the first half, Domincan started off strong, scoring 3 goals within the first four minutes of the game. Shaylagh Devlin was the first to put the Warriors on the scoreboard with a goal at 24:46 assissted by Torie Eggers. Julianna Kranes and Melissa Clapsaddle were leading scorers in the first half with 3 goals scored for each. Melissa Clapsaddle scored the last goal of the first half unassisted with six seconds left putting the Warriors ahead of the Chargers at the end of the half.

In the second half of the game, Dominican dominated the scoreboard. Nyack's first goal for the half was a shot by Melissa Clapsaddle assissted by Julianna Kranes. The second and last goal of the game for the Warriors was scored by Torie Eggers unassisted. Dominican lead the rest of the game scoring six of their total points in the last 15 minutes, ending the game with a final score of 19-9.

The Nyack Warriors will play in a home conference match against Chestnut Hill on Saturday April 13th at 2:00PM. This game the Warriors will honor their senior players in one of their last home games for the season.
