Orangeburg, NY - Two second half goals proved to be the difference for the Nyack College women's soccer team in a 2-1 victory against the Dominican College Chargers, on Tuesday afternoon in a conference matchup.

The Chargers (3-6, 3-3) would get on the scoreboard first in the 24th minute, when Jenna Gray took a shot from 20-yards out to find the back of the Warrior net. Nyack enjoyed most of the possession during the first 45 minutes, but was unable to convert any of their opportunities into goals. The first period ended with a 7-8 disadvantage in shots for the Lady Warriors. After the injury of Julianna Kranes (recorded one save) in the first minutes of the game, Sara Pereyra would step up and finish the first 45 minutes with five saves.

"Our entire team deserves recognition for the effort and energy that they gave during the game. Everyday we continue to grow and today we showed resilience to never quit. I believe we have a special team, and my players know what's coming next, but there is always room for improvement."

The Warriors continue a busy week with a trip to Queens on Thursday for a 4:00 pm non-conference contest.
