Women's Soccer Defeated by Holy Family Tigers in Road Match

Philadelphia, PA- Holy Family University welcomed the Lady Warriors of Nyack to their field as they contended in a CACC match. The Warriors tried to edge out the lady's in Blue and White but the favor resided otherwise. The Tigers finished with 3-1 win over the Warriors.

What looked like a back and forth first couple minutes of kick off, was actually a Tiger domination. Following an unsuccessful corner kick by the Warriors, the Tigers took three shots before sinking in a goal by Shannon Metzler. She was assisted by a cross from Cailey Pluth. Nyack refused to give up as they fought with back to back shots by Camilla Parada. Although they missed wide the Warrior made a substitution with Zoe Mould joining the game. Her presence allowed the only goal that Nyack would score on the game. Mould's first goal of the season allowed the game to withhold a tie at the half.

The Warriors were heavily challenged in the second half as Camila Parada, Jessica Shot, and Karla Dominguez shots were no match for Holy Family's Goalie. The Tigers gained the lead two minutes into the second half as a shot from outside of the box gave Brianna Rock another goal under her belt. The lady's in blue and white weren't done just yet as they added nine more shots, two of which were saved by Nyack's, Greta Enloe. The Tigers ninth shot was successful with three seconds left of the game. The Warriors finished with a 3-1 lost to Holy Family.

The Warriors currently are 0-2 in the CACC. They finished their game with five corner kicks and seven shots.

Next stop for the Warriors is a CACC contest against Bloomfield at 7pm on Tuesday, September 19th. This will be the Warriors third conference game of the season.
