Nyack, NY- A late goal in the second half for the Lady Warriors of Nyack was not enough to tame the Cougars of Caldwell. The bright lights of Nyack High School welcomed guess CACC contenders, Caldwell University. The Cougars overcame the Warriors with a (4-1) lead to end the match. This tough loss for the Warriors puts them at (1-6) in the conference.
Missett Scores Third Goal of the Season in Loss Against Cougars

The Cougars dominated much of the field as they found a shot by Jordan Madrid into the arms of Nyack's, Greta Enloe. Their shot came within two minutes of kick off and gave the Cougars confidence to finally put one in the net a couple minutes later. The rebound shot for Caldwell now puts them at a (0-1) lead. Nyack's, Alexia Misset, recorded two shots before the half in efforts to tie the game. The Cougars were able to possess majority of the ball in the first half and therefore gave the Goalie for Nyack a chance to defend their shots. The Warriors had six opportunities to sink a goal in but each time they were saved. The Cougars also had another six shot attempt opportunity before Emily Valeran found her shot falling down just inside of the box. The scoreboard now reflecting a (2-0) lead for the Cougars, had the Warriors working hard to defend their territory.
As the game progressed, both teams continued to battle. The Warriors came out firing with a shot from Katherine Becosme. Her ball would be saved. The Warriors continued to work their shots with back to back corner kicks. Each time they had an opportunity their headers were deflected. Caldwell managed to work their way back to the Warriors territory and eventually scoring two back to back goals in efforts to secure their win. At a (4-0) deficit, the Warriors refused to give up and answered back. Alexia Missett, dribbled her way to shoot but Daniel Lucca of the Cougars saved it. The Lady Warriors then returned back into their field of play as Jasmine Larenas crossed the ball in to be headed off of Alexia Missett and right into the goal. This would be her third goal of the season. The game ended with a (4-1) score in favor of the Cougars.
The Warriors hit the road to compete in another CACC match against Godly Beacom. The match is set for October 7th at 12:30pm.
