Women's Soccer Ranked 10th in CACC Women's Soccer Preseason Poll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Nyack College Women's Soccer team was selected 10th in the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) preseason coaches poll that was released by the conference office on Wednesday.

Defending champion Georgian Court University was voted into first place with 164 points and eight first-place votes. The Lions are followed by Wilmington University in 2nd (145 points, 2 first-place votes) and Jefferson University in 3rd place (131 points, 1 first-place votes). The remainder of the league was voted as follows; Holy Family University (127, 1 first tplace vote), Caldwell University (120 points), Goldey-Beacom College (110), Felician University (79), Post University (79), Bloomfield College (53), Nyack College (48, 1 first place vote), Dominican College (47), Chestnut Hill College (42) and Concordia College (39).

The Warriors - who received 48 points - return seven players from the 2017 squad. Head Coach Jodel Wright paired the seven returners with 16 new incomers to form a solid squad for the 2018 campaign. Nyack finished their 2017 campaign with a 2-10 CACC and 2-16 overall record.

The Nyack College women's soccer season opens on Friday, August 31, with a 4:00 p.m. contest at NYIT against Stonehill College. The complete results of the 2018 CACC Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll are provided below.
