Women's Soccer Suffers Road Loss to Wilmington

Wilmington, DE– The Nyack College women's soccer team played traveled to Delaware to square off with the Wilmington University Wildcats on Saturday afternoon for a CACC matchup. The Wildcats earned the win with a 4-0 victory over the Warriors.

Records: WU (4-5-0, 3-1-0 CACC), NC (1-5-1, 1-2-1 CACC)

GAME SUMMARY:
The Wildcats scored first in the 10th minute and added another pair of goals with six minutes left in the first half to earn a 3-0 advantage at halftime. The Warriors had several one-on-one opportunities in the second period to fight their way back into the game but were denied by the Wildcats' goalkeeper. Wilmington scored another goal in the 78th minute to round up the scoring of the day.
 
KEY PERFORMERS: 
Nicole Benesch tallied 11 saves in the loss, while Brooklyn McFadden led the Warriors with two shots on target.
 
COMING UP NEXT:
The Warriors will be back on Wednesday when they travel to Bronxville, NY to take on the Concordia College Clippers in a conference match at 3pm.
