The Nyack College Women's Soccer team faced off against Goldey Beacom in an away conference game. The Warriors tried their best but were unable to produce enough to win the game.
In the first half of the game, Goldey-Beacom took control of the ball quickly and consistently kept it throughout the whole first half. The Warriors were only able to get one shot on goal before Goldey Beacom put themselves on the scoreboard with a penalty kick goal at a time of 23:52. Less than ten minutes after Beacom was able to score a goal on a five yeard shot. Nyack put themselves on the scoreboard less than ten minutes after the last goal with a cross one touch shot by Lea Zehringer, assisted by Shanice Rapp, ending the first half with a total score of 2-1.
The second half of the game produced much of the same. Goldey-Beacom kept control of the ball and ran a strong, consistent offense putting them in control of the whole game. Goldey Beacom was able to score four more goals by the end of the game. Nyack was unable to catch up to the point gap that was created and the game ended with a final score of 6-1.
