The Nyack College Women's soccer team faced off against Dominican College in a home conference game. The Warriors pushed until the very end bringing the game into two over times, but could not secure another goal ending the game in a 2-2 tie.
The first half of the game had a slow start with many shots on goal, but neither team was able to find the back of the net. It wasn't until the last few minutes of the first half that Dominican shot the ball making it into the left corner of the goal only to be called on an offsides by the referee. Unaware of this call, Domincan began to celebrate their goal, but Nyack continued to play. They hesitated at first but managed to work together as a team, ran the ball up the fied and on a header by Zion Dewerff put the ball in the back right corner of the goal placing the Warriors as the first on the scoreboard.
The Warriors brought the momentum from the end of the first half into the second half and within the first five minutes Levi Bollman scored another goal making the score 2-0. With Nyack in the lead, the pressure was put on Domincan. The Chargers came together, worked as a team, and at a time of 72:38 Dominican scored their first goal of the game. The took the momentum from that goal and fought hard enough to secure another goal at a time of 85:54 tieing up the game.
The game went to two overtimes but neither team was able to find the back of the net, ending the game in a tie at 2-2.
