Volleyball Winning Streak Extends To Five, In 3-0 Victory Over Goldey-Beacom

NYACK, NY (October 12, 2013)

Nyack College volleyball coasted to a 3-0 Central Atlentic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory (9-25, 21-25, 12-25) Saturday afternoon at home, improving to 7-2 in conference play (11-11 overall).

In the first set, Nyack would go on a 17-3 run which allowed them to stretch the lead. Lady Warriors would close out the match with 9-25.

In the second set Deborah Schendel would score three aces in a row, giving Nyack an 8-1 run. A close match, but the Lady Warriors would come out on top 21-25.

During the last set Brianna Kane landed two aces of her own to close out the match and seal the victory as Nyack dominated 12-25.

Samantha Garza dominated the net with 12 kills while Michelle Makela tallied 13 digs. Kane distributed a game high 25 assists in the winning effort.

Goldey-Beacom falls to 4-12 on the year (0-8 CACC). The Warriors return to action Tuesday evening with another conference home game vs. Dominican College. Start time is scheduled for 7pm.
