BRONXVILLE, NY - The Nyack College women's volleyball team was upended in CACC action on Wednesday evening as the team fell in three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-16.

The first set was a neck-and-neck battle as the teams rallied back and forth. With Nyack trailing by just one (9-10) the Clippers would find a 4-0 run to get ahead 14-9, but Kelsi Collins and Lindsay Miller contributed to the Next 4-0 Warrior run to bring the game back to a one point trail (14-13). Concordia was able to pull away for the rest of the match and take the first set 25-18.

During the second set Nyack would take the early 5-3 lead until six unanswered points by Concordia gave them a 9-5 lead. The Warriors would respond with a 5-0 run of their own later in the set to take a 12-11 advantage but the Clippers bounced back to regain the lead after four unanswered points. After the set was knotted at 17-17, Concordia would score three straight points as Nyack would call a timeout. The Warriors would score a point to stop the run but the Clippers ended the set on a 5-0 run to take another 25-18 victory and a 2-0 overall lead in the match.

By the third and final set, Nyack struggled to get much going against Concordia but fought to tie the match a total of three times. In the end, it would not be enough for Nyack as the team fell 25-16 and the Clippers garnered their second conference victory.

Nyack leaders in the contest were Alexus Winters with 9 kills, Annalise Fee with 2 blocks, and Paige Burrell with 14 digs. Both Burrell and Winters recorded 2 service aces in the effort.
