Nyack returned to Bowman Gym again after playing Mercy College Monday, September 14th, to face Dominican College.  Not a moment of silence was to be found as the Warrior fans cheered from the very first whistle to the very last whistle of 4 competitive sets; resulting in the 3-1 setback to the visiting Chargers.

How It Happened:
In an action packed 2 hours, the Warriors of Nyack College battled cross town rivals, the Chargers of Dominican College, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match.  Both teams were hungry for a conference win as Nyack has one non-conference win and Dominican has yet to capture a victory.  Tonight's match-up has a long history of friendly rivalry and drawn out scores; this evening's match would prove to be no different.

The Warriors defense saw 5 out of 6 players reach double digits in digs this evening.  Sophomore Lindsay Miller (Chandler, AZ) led the team in digs with 15 throughout the four sets.  Freshman Natalie Anderson (Tualatin, OR) earned 13 digs while setting for sets three and four.  Freshman Elizabeth Moore (Surprise, AZ) and sophomore Alexus Winters (Yorba Linda, CA) added 12 digs each to the Warriors totals and sophomore Jillian Smith (Oceanside, CA) would contribute 10 digs as well.

Miller also led the Warriors in aces and blocks, recording 4 service aces against the Chargers as well as 4 solo blocks and 1 block assist.  Winters earned 10 kills for the Warriors offense, closely followed by Miller who had 9 kills.  Through a thrilling game where leading score was tossed back and forth between the two teams, Dominican would emerge victorious in 4 sets with scores of 29-27 as Nyack's sole win of the night in set one, 25-14, 25-23 and 25-23 in favor of Dominican in sets two, three, and four respectively.

Up Next:
The Warriors travel this Saturday to play Georgian Court University at 11am in a CACC match.  Immediately following, the Warriors will play Westchester Community College at 1pm in a non-conference match as part of their final tri-match of the 2015 season.
