After an intense match against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rivals Dominican College, Nyack took to the road to participate in a tri-match at Georgian Court University (GCU).  The tri-match would feature a competition against fellow CACC members, the host, the Georgian Court University Lions and the West Chester University (PA) Golden Rams.  Unfortunately, the Warriors of Nyack College were unable to secure a victory over the course of two matches.

How It Happened:
Gams 1
In a trying 3 sets, the Warriors challenged the Georgian Court Lions without a single sub on their bench.  Nyack established sophomore Alexus Winters (Yorba Linda, CA) as an offensive force.  Winters recorded 9 kills out of 37 attempts throughout the course of 3 sets played.  Sophomore Lindsay Miller (Chandler, AZ) controlled the defense, contributing 14 digs against the Lions offense and shutting down the attacks with 3 blocks at the net.  The match was filled with long rallies and dramatic saves from each side of the net.  Regrettably, the efforts of the Warriors were not enough to overcome the Georgian Court Lions.  The final scores of the match were 25-12, 25-22, and 25-14 in favor of the Lions.

Game 2
Due to a leak from the ceiling the court had to be moved across the gym leaving the score table without power.  The Warriors lost to the Golden Rams in 3 sets.  Further details are coming soon!

Up Next:
Nyack returns to action this week with a home game on Wednesday, September 23, at 7pm.  The Warriors will be host to the visiting Concordia College Clippers in their third Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competition of the 2015 campaign.
