In an incredible fight to four sets, the Warriors were unable to overcome Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competitor Goldey-Beacom College.  The Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College, after losing the first set, would rally to defeat the Warriors in sets 2, 3, and 4.

How It Happened:
Sophomore Alexus Winters (Yorba Linda, CA) earned a double/double for the match, leading the Warriors in both kills and digs again establishing her versatility on the court.  Winters procured 12 kills out of 34 attempts with only 2 errors for the match.  She also was able to gain 24 digs, topping the Warrior defense.  Sophomore's Kelsi Collins (Tarpon Springs, FL) and Jillian Smith (Oceanside, CA) garnered 3 aces from the service line for the Warriors while earning 17 and 14 digs respectively.  Collins also earned a block for the Warriors defense with the assistance of Senior Annah Aguilar (New Bloomfield, PA).  Opposite of Collins and Aguilar was blocking duo sophomore Lindsay Miller (Chandler, AZ) and freshman Natalie Anderson (Tualatin, OR) who tallied three blocks for the match.  Miller was also able to earn 1 service ace as well as 10 kills against the Lightning's defense.

The Warriors tallied 136 total attempts for the night producing 44 kills against GBC's 138 attempts with 37 kills.  Nyack was also able to earn 89 digs against GBC reflecting the long rallies and perseverant spirit that dictated the course of play throughout all four sets.  Set 1 saw the Warriors shut GBC down with 13 kills sporting a .265 hitting percentage taking the set with a final score of 25-16.  GBC adjusted to the Warriors offensive approach.  Each team earned 9 kills for the match, however, Nyack sustained 5 more errors than GBC leading to a 25-18 score in favor of the Lightning.  Set 3 came to a draw at 19-19 before GBC was able to earn a 4 point run and then defeat the Warriors 25-22.  Set 4 would conclude with a final score of 25-16, completing the match in favor of Godley-Beacom 3-1.
