After 3 sets of competitive play, the Wildcats of Wilmington University defeated the Warriors with scores of 25-10, 25-13, and 25-18. The Wildcats progressed to an overall 20-7 record, reflecting a 13-3 record within the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

How It Happened:
Senior Annah Aguilar (New Bloomfield, PA) held her own against the Wildcats offense, earning 3 blocks for the match.  Backing her up on defense was sophomore Kelsi Collins (Tarpon Springs, FL), who recorded the team high of 11 digs for the match, as well as 1 block.  Collins proved herself to be consistent in the front row as well, covering each teammate against the Wildcats block while maintaining an offensive presence sporting a .250% hitting percentage.  Sophomore Jillian Smith (Oceanside, CA) matched Aguilar and sophomores Lindsay Miller (Chandler, AZ) and Alexus Winters (Yorba Linda, CA) with 7 digs on defense.  On offense, Smith was able to garner 1 service ace against the Wildcats ironclad defense, as well as 6 kills.  Despite being targeted by the Wildcats block, Miller was able to procure 8 kills and return a block against Wilmington.

The Wildcats gained momentum early on in set 1 against the Warriors and continued to drive till the sets completion.  Wilmington earned 10 kills for the set with only 1 error.  Through all 3 sets the Warriors outperformed the Wildcats in attempts, indicating the Warriors resilience and ability to recover a ball off the block.  Their signature long rallies would not be enough to gain a victory in set 2 as the Wildcats earned 9 kills, with 2 errors to take the set.  Set 3 would conclude with 15 Wildcats kills against 11 from the Warriors, in favor of Wilmington University.  The final victory would bring Wilmington to a 3-0 win for the match, and secure their position in 2nd place for the CACC South division just behind Philadelphia University.
