Women's Volleyball Tops USciences, 3-1

NYACK, NY - In a match this Saturday, October 29th, the Warriors topped the University of Sciences Devils in conference action (25-16, 25-19, 23-25, 25-21).

The Warriors earned the first two sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-19. Nyack was hitting .179 with 9 kills during the first and hitting .111 with 7 kills in the seconds set. 

USciences earned the third set, when they rallied back from 21-23 to win the set with a score of 25-23, which forced a fourth set. The Warriors would seal the victory in the fourth set with a score of 25-21.

Sophomore Megan Ma'afala-Maiava topped the Warriors offense with 9 kills, while Lindsay Miller and Hadley Spresser chipped in with 7 kills. The Warriors successfully dug 66 of the Devils 142 attempts. Junior Kelsi Collins led the Warriors in digs with 26, while junior Olivia Denny orchestrated the offense with 17 assists.

Nyack Volleyball will be back in action on Wednesday, November 2, when they travel to the Felician University Golden Falcons for a conference match-up. The game will start at 7pm.
