Volleyball Drops to Holy Family University on the Road

Philadelphia, PA - The Nyack College women's volleyball team traveled to Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon to square off with the Holy Family University Tigers. The Tiger took the game in three set. With the loss the Warriors fall to 3-9 and 2-2 in CACC play. 

Holy Family enjoyed the better start with a 9-3 lead in set one. The Tigers continued to dominate and secured the first set with a score of 25-14. The second set showed a similar picture with the Tigers up 10-3 early in the set, which would set them up for a 25-15 win in set two. 

The third set saw back and forth action from the beginning with several lead changes and tied scores. With the score at 10-10 the Tigers were able tp pull away by five which set them up for a 25-19 score in set three and the win.

Nyack was led by senior Larreya Hayden with 9 kills. 

Up next: The Warriors will be back this Wednesday when they host the Caldwell University Cougars at home in a CACC match. The game is scheduled for 7:00pm.
