Volleyball Battles Chestnut Hill for Second Win in a Row

Philadelphia, PA– The Nyack College volleyball team traveled to Philadelphia to square off with the Chestnut Hill College Griffins on Saturday afternoon for a CACC matchup. In a hard fought battle the Warriors took the W on the day with a final score of 3-2.   
 
THE BASICS:
Final: Chestnut Hill 2, Nyack 3 (21-25, 23-25, 25-20, 26-24, 13-15)
Records: CHC (4-9, 2-4 CACC), NC (5-9, 4-2 CACC)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
 
GAME SUMMARY:
The Warriors took the first two sets to put themselves in the driver's seat. But the Griffins came back winning sets three and four to force a fifth and game-deciding set. Both teams battled back and forth in set five. With the score tied at 13 Nyack made a final push to set five with 15-13 and push the game into their favor. This marks the second win in a row for Nyack.  
 
KEY PERFORMERS: 
Kyra Zuhlke and Larreya Hayden led the Warriors in kills with 12 and 11. Rachel Medin orchestrated the offense with 34 assists, while also adding 24 digs.
 
COMING UP NEXT:
The Warriors will be back on Tuesday when they travel to Bloomfield for a CACC matchup at 6pm.
