Hayden and Zuhlke Lead Warriors in Battle with Bloomfield

Bloomfield, NJ– The Nyack College volleyball team traveled to New Jersey to square off with the Bloomfield College Bear on Tuesday night for another CACC match. In a hard fought battle the Warriors took the W on the day with a final score of 3-2.   
 
THE BASICS:
Final: Bloomfield 2, Nyack 3 (29-31, 25-21, 25-23, 25-27, 11-15)
Records: BC (0-17, 0-6 CACC), NC (6-9, 5-2 CACC)
Location: Bloomfield, NJ
 
GAME SUMMARY:
Nyack fought in the first set to stay on top of things. In a long set the Warriors came out with a 31-29 success. The Bears answered with consecutive sets in their favor to push the advantage to their side. Nyack didn't give up and came back in set four to tie the game up with 27-25. In the final fifth set the Warriors proved to be resilient and earned their third win in a row with a 15-11 set.  
 
KEY PERFORMERS: 
Senior Larreya Hayden tallied a career high 18 kills. She was followed by sophomore Kyra Zuhlke with 17. Rachel Medin recorded a career high 52 assists, while British Dawson led the Warriors with 24 digs.
 
COMING UP NEXT:
The Warriors will be back on Friday when they host the Post University Eagles for another CACC match. The game is scheduled for 7pm.
