Women's Volleyball Falls at Home to Post Eagles

Nyack, NY – The Nyack College volleyball team was bac in action today when they hosted the Post University Eagles at Bowman Gym. The Warriors came off a three game winning-streak, which was snapped by the Eagles in a game that ended 0-3. With the loss the Warriors fall to 6-0 overall and 5-3 in CACC play. 

THE BASICS:
Final: Post 3, Nyack 0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-20)
Records: PU (8-10, 5-2 CACC), NC (6-10, 5-3 CACC)

GAME SUMMARY:
Set one was evenly contested for the first half. With the score at 10-10 the Eagles pulled away and took set one with a score of 25-15. In set two the Eagles jumped to an early 14-6 lead, which set them up for a 25-12 win in the second set. The Warriors tried to come back in the third set in a game that went back and forth. But with the score tied at 16 the Eagles once again pulled away and finished the set with a score of 25-20.  

KEY PERFORMERS:
Nyack was led by senior Megan Ma'afala-Maiava with nine kills. Setter Rachel Medin contributed 19 assists on the day. 

COMING UP NEXT:
Nyack will be back tomorrow when they travel to Delaware to take on the Wilmington University Wildcats in a CACC match at 11am.
