The Nyack College Warriors volleyball team faced off in a home conference match against Caldwell University. The Warriors had some shining moments throughout the game but it wasn't enough to secure the win losing the match in three.
In the first set of the match, the Warriors fell behind early on creating a large point deficit. The Warriors were unable to make enough strides in this set to bridge the gap, losing with a final score of 25-15.
In the second set of the match, the Warriors dug deep and found some energy to bring to the court. They competed with Caldwell neck and neck tieing up the score at several points throughout the set. At a score of 14-13, the Warriors began to trail behind quickly losing several points at a time and not earning many of them back, causing a five point gap. The Warriors made strides to come back with kills by Abby Wright and Kyra Zuhlke bringing the score to 22-20, but were unable to earn enough to finish the set, losing with a score of 25-20.
In the third and final set of the match, the Warriors battled with Caldwell for the beginning points but began to lose momentum around a score of 13-13 where the Warriors fell behind quickly losing seven points in a row, creating a large gap. The Warriors attempted to come back but was unable to create anything promising and lost the set with a score of 25-16 and the match 3-0.
