Nyack Volleyball Swept by Holy Family in Three

The Nyack College Warriors volleyball team faced off in a home conference match against Holy Family. The Warriors honored their seniors Abby Wright, Paige Easley, and Bailey Medeiros today for their time spent at Nyack College and playing collegiate volleyball. In a game that would have given them an edge on their record moving towards playoffs, the Warriors were unable to clinch the win losing the match in three. 

In the first set of the match, the Warriors started in serve receive and gained the ball back after a service error from Holy Family. With the ball in their possession the Warriors earned a kill by Kyra Zuhlke but lost the ball again on a kill by the opposing team. The Warriors began to fall behind very quickly creating a large gap being six points behind. At a score of 13-9, Holy Family went on a scoring run and earned seven points in a row. The Warriors were unable to come back from this deficit and lost the set with a final score of 25-11. 

In the second set of the match, the Warriors produced more of the same, falling behind Holy Family by seven points. The Warriors began to pick up momentum towards the end of the but by then it was too lat to bridge the gap and lost the set with a final score of 25-17. 

In the third and final set of the match, the Warriors sided out immediately on a kill by senior, Abby Wright. The Warriors began trading points with Holy Family, earning back the points they lost, but at a score of 13-10 the Warriors fell behind and created a seven point gap. The Warriors tried to bridge the gap but was unable to produce anything promising, losing the set with a final score of 25-14 and the match 0-3.
