Code & Trador Earn All-Conference Accolades

Philadelphia, PA (Sunday, October 21, 2012)

The Nyack Women's Cross Country team concluded their regular season today as they participated in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship event. 

While the women captured a 6th place team finish, sophomore Pamela Code and Freshman Tori Trador were awarded All-CACC honors, representing the elite Top-15 runners in the conference for 2012.

There were 85+ compeditors this year all stemming from the 14 institutions which make up the conference.

Philadelphia University claimed the 2012 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)  Women's Cross Country Championship after placing four athletes among the top-nine runners overall and finishing with a total score of 44 - 37 points ahead of second-place finisher Georgian Court University.

Wilmington University sophomore, Althea Davidson is the CACC Women's Runner of the Year following a 1st place showing and a time of 19:00 - 1:04 ahead of the rest of the field.

Nyack was the recipient of the Anne Jackson Memorial Women's Cross Country Team Sportsmanship Award for the second consecutive year and first year head coach, Latia Deylii, was selected as the CACC Women's Coach of the Year.

The Running Warriors will enjoy a week off from competition as they prepare for the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships on Sunday November 4, 2012.

The meet will take place in Mines Falls Park in Nashua, NH.
