Women's Cross Country Repeats Runner-Up Performance at CACC Championship

PHILADELPHIA, PA

For the second year in a row, the Lady Warriors Cross Country team would place among the top-2 teams at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship; falling short to Philadelphia University's score by just 23 points. In addition, Nyack secured four of their top-5 scorers among the top-15 individual finishers to be named to the All-Conference team.

How It Happened
Sophomore Ariana Nash (Jackson, NJ) led Nyack's All-CACC performers with a 6th place finish to earn first team honors for the second straight year with her time of 20:31, while senior Nicole Pagan, (Carrolton, TX) trailed three seconds behind Nash in 20:34 to place 7th overall. Both Warriors would record personal best finish times at the championships.

Sophomore Stefani Ritter (Medford, OR) in 20:49 and senior Sara-Caitrin Mandleburg (Quaker Hill, CT) in 20:57 also earned All-CACC accolades after their 10th and 13th place finishes respectively. Sophomore Sidney Spaschak (East Aurora, NY) rounded out the top-5 scorers in 24th place overall while Danielle Wilson (Navarre, OH... 25th) and Trisha Frazer (Murfreesboro, TN... 31st) displaced as Nyack's 6th and 7th runners.

Megan Ferrik from Wilmington University took the individual title with a run of 19:54 over the 5-kilometer course.

At the post race awards ceremony, Warrior Mandelburg was awarded the CACC's Top XV Award, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the CACC championships.
