HOPKINTON, N.H. (November 5, 2016) – Junior Ariana Nash (Jackson, NJ) finished 74th on Saturday afternoon, to lead the way for the Nyack College women's cross country team at the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by Franklin Pierce at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. Nash finished well inside the top half of the 191-runner field to lead the Warriors to a 21st-place finish, out of 28 teams.
Nash finished the 6k course with a time of 24:07.8, good for an average mile time of 6:28.3. It was 12 spots back to the next Warrior across the line, with senior Trisha Frazer (Murfreesboro, TN) checking in at 86th place, with a time of 24:21.6. The remaining scoring for Nyack College came between 105th and 188th position: sophomore Winnie Jepkoech (Kabiyet, Kenya) placed 105th in 24:52.0, senior Danielle Wilson (Navarre, OH) took 122nd in 25:15.3, sophomore Bornes Jerono finished 172nd in 27:28.7, and sophomore Lydia Chepkieng (Iten, Kenya) finished 188th in 31:57.5.
It all added up to 543 points for the Warriors, who checked in at 21st place.
